Happy Holidays, Everyone!
I’m excited about the new schedule and our continuing opportunities to become better swimmers while enjoying the lovely (cough) morning weather as winter approaches! I am impressed by the commitment and great attitudes I’m seeing from the entire Swim Club, and am grateful for the effort everyone has been putting forth as we continue to work through the challenges presented by the pandemic restrictions.
[On that note, please remember to wear your masks, keep your distance, and stay home if you’re not feeling well. It’s also important to continue our commitment to vacating the pool area on time and respecting the HOA rules. Thanks!]
IMPORTANT CONCEPT! As has been the case since Doug started building this team, our SaddleBrooke Swim Club coached workouts are for the benefit of our members…not for the ego of the coach. As coaches, we are here to help you become better swimmers if we can, and will do our best to provide workouts and technique feedback that will help you achieve your personal goals.
With that in mind, please remember these important points:
Please note that we are tweaking the coaching schedule over the next few months, so the faces you see on deck may vary from what you expect. The main structure of the workouts will remain the same for all practices on a given day, even if different coaches are on deck at different times. Depending on signups and availability of coaches, there may be days (such as Sundays) where there may not be a coach on deck, so you’ll be free to do your own workouts.
